My Story
Hello! I am Umberto but most of my friends, colleagues, and family members call me Robert. I was born and raised in Chicago. I attended undergraduate and graduate school in Northwest Indiana. I have been married to my wife (Lisa) for 20 years and we have 3 boys (Xavier, Victor, and Christian). I have lived and worked in Miami, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Cincinnati. In the last 25 years, I have worked for three companies: Target, Macy’s, and currently Meijer. I have held jobs at the store level, market/district level, and regional/corporate level. I love going to the movies and listening to podcasts. I stay fit by swimming, running, and cycling. I challenge myself to complete 1 to 2 marathons a year along with 2 to 3 triathlons a year.

My Coaching Approach
I would describe my coaching approach as solution-focused utilizing cognitive behavioral techniques. What does that mean? I ask a lot of questions and I listen; we break down your answers and together we engineer an approach to start working toward your goal(s). We work together to equip you with a utility belt of systems and solutions. Along the way, we will celebrate improvement, revise where and when necessary, and lastly, work towards self-awareness and growth.
